video :)

These video shows the idea of a true latino women. Shakira has served not only for Colombia but for many countries al over the world. Shes a social icon and an example to follow. In response to her ideas its true since the United States is based on the Constitution. And they are violating their constitutional and civil rights. The Americans complain about loosing job opportunities which they totally ignore because of their low pay. They think they are supremacy and they have to think both ways...WHAT IF THINGS IN THE UNITED STATES WENT BAD AND WE HAVE TO GO TO LATIN AMERICA?
... The social impact on the latino country will affect future relations since we all dont know what the tomorrow will hold. Us Puerto Ricans should encourage and support immigration we all are immigrants ! So are the americans their country was founded by immigrants and they feel superior we  all are immigrants! NO ONE IS ILEGAL! Its just injust to be able to stop and question anyone because of their skin color or features. The people in Arizona are totally going back to sort of the Hitlers ideas and thats should worry many Americans... The law in Arizona is sort of trying to use the same techniques the NAZI used with the jews. USA was supposed to be based on freedom and opportunities were are they know?

my family history :)

My family history i only found up to my great grandparents. My great grandmother whose name was Engracia Maria Rodriguez Ortiz she was a seamstress. She worked from home and took care of three kids. My great grandpa whose name was Carlos Benvenutti Espada, used to work in the Central Azucarera de Aguirre in Salinas. From there my grandmother whose name is :Marianela Benvenutti Rodriguez married my grandpa Brigido L. Torres Altoro. All my last names date to the southern part or southeastern part of the island which date all the way to the Spanish invaders exept for Benvenutti which is from italian decencent. from my paternal side both of my Dads last names are spanish which are Baerga and Caraballo. Run back to Spain also my Great Grandmother from my dads side was named Antonia Baerga and my Great Grandpa was Rafael Caraballo. My Grandparents are Anilda Caraballo and Harry Baerga.
These information is quite chocking since I dint now all my familly from both sides are SPANISH! I never expected that to be that way and lets not forget also my small ITALIAN heritage (maybe thats why I love pastas and pizzas). This interested me in traveling someday to Spain and Italy! And maybe research some more about my family's history. This makes me wonder more how if my great grandpa is from spanish decent and last names he was colored and worked as a sugar cane worker. This blog assigment made me wonder more and more of my history !

German Immigration  :
The German immigration was due to many Germans in the constant seeking of religious freedom. Also many came after the Napoleonic wars, they were running away from the political oppression and military involvement . The unsolved political situation led to an increase in their migration. The Germans leaven their country to travel to the United States was also due to that they all believed in the american dream and there ideas were influenced by family members, friends, solicitors and officials.
Their journey to the united states took months. The Germans had to afford train tickets and boat tickets.
First they took trains departing from Germany to the coast. were they would spend up to a week. After they arrived to the coast they had to board this ships on which they would be on during six months. sometimes entire families or sometimes teens alone took this long journey seeking for a better life. ships were overcrowded with Germans and many got sick thymus fever was the most common. it was based on 2,814/446 died o the way!
During their life's in the USA most Germans lived on the country side. They were mostly all farmers, whom made up most of the agricultural industry on that region. Meanwhile the Germans living in the cities would be living on these German villages compared to ''chinatowns''. Although not many German women had jobs they did house hold chores. Also Germans did not get along in large groups these divisions were more present when  ideology and religion was brought up. Also depending on what part of Germany you came from.
In my personal view just like all people migrating they all face challenges, struggles, and death. But this doesn't affect the way I view migration since Im completely in favor of migration. But yet its quite chocking how similar their trips were compared to the salve ships and their diseases.  I enjoyed searching for their history and its quite fascinating how much history there is behind Germany.
